Exhaust System Spring Safety

One piece of bicycle shift cable is run through all the springs. To terminate, the cable ends pass through holes in a piece of angle aluminum and model airplane cable stops. I would put off re-lubricating the exhaust system joints because it was too difficult to remove and replace the safety wires. With this set up, all I have to do is remove one stop and slide the cable out of the way, and when I am done, I can slide it back in and re-attach the cable stop.
