Getting Simonini Victor 1 Ready To Go - Lower Radiator Tank Outlet Modification

The water outlet from the lower radiator tank was straight down and it would be more advantageous if it came out straight back. I shortened the outlet to about five-eights of an inch. I expanded on end of a 90 degree one-half inch copper elblow to slide over the stub. The elbow is permanently attached to the stub with JB Weld.

But copper is a soft material and I am afraid that over time the vibration will cause the elbow to come free from the stub. To prevent this two clamps were made to support the elbow and attached to a couple of hooks over the rim of the lower radiator tank. One clamp was placed around the end of the elbow that is over the lower tank stub and prevents rotation. The second clamp supports the other end of the elbow from moving up and down. Rivets are used to keep the hooks and clamps in place, and JB Weld fills in the gaps.
