Repositioned Carb Enrichment Control
Moved the carburetor enrichment control down below and slightly behind the throttle lever. Both levers are to the left for engine start. The control is made from an old bicycle shifter lever that was mounted on a strip of aluminum. The aluminum strip makes up part of the throttle friction mechanism. To keep it from rotating with the throttle, a plastic wire tie passes through a hole in the upper rear of the strip and a round the throttle cable housing guide.
I had to install a longer cable (bicycle shifter cable), and I used the original cable housing. To gain the additional housing length, I made a coupler and used small aluminum tubing to get to the control lever.
I moved the control down so that as I test various carburetor mid range needle positions, I can richen the mixture if the EGT's start to peak. I had trouble finding the lever up over my left shoulder.
