Oil Measuring Bottle
I am using a 100 to 1 mix on the oil. To make it easier to measure out the oil mix for cross country fill ups and to reduce the possibility of error, I calibrated a eight ounce medicine bottle. I made a paper gallons scale by using my word processor and changing the font size etc until it matched the bottle scale in ounces. The scale is glued to the bottle, and then covered with a clear piece of packaging tape. 6.4 ounces to 5 gallons. The kid proof cap is epoxied so that I can get the top off. At an off home airport site, I pump oil into the bottle the number of gallons used, and this is poured into the tank before refueling. The photo focus was poor so I added the scale to the photo using image software.
With the Victor 1, I will be going back to 100 to 1 mix, but the oil will not be Amsoil.
